Well, July came and went. I think in the history of my life it was the fastest yet. I started the month out w/ a happy forth of July bang. Nate wasn't in town, busy on a boy scout hike/camp out. Then on the 9th, Jason and I celebrated out 15th wedding anniversary w/ a trip to Seattle to watch the Foo Fighters in concert. Good times, really for me it was more about people watching, as I haven't paid any attention to the foo fighters since the late 90's. Saying it that way sounds like so long ago. :-)
Then on the 14th of July I started 2 new kids (brother and sister, 2 mo. & 4yrs old), and delt w/ Jason being out of town on business. Everything was going well, it was Friday 7/18, mom and grandma came out to take the girls for the night, to give me some refresh time. Nate was all set to go on ANOTHER boy scout outing (this time for a 50 mile bike ride over in E. WA.) Nate and I went out to watch a movie when I got the call that uncle steve had his heart attack.
I was going to replay everything over and type it all here, but really it is what it is. We know the out come.....R.I.P. Uncle Steve. You were a great man, and during the times I needed you, you were there. A father figure when I needed, a friend as well. And that seems to be the story that I've heard from everyone over the last 3 weeks. Can't believe that 3 weeks went by so fast....but I'm glad that I got to spend alot of time w/ my family. I've stared at pictures of Steve so many times, and in every one there was always some kind of smile. Either a "why are you taking my picture?" smile or "I'm really having fun" or "I'd rather be somewhere else"....doesn't matter what was going on, Steve always had a smile on his face!!!! What a happy person he was. I will always miss you....but have peace in my heart knowing that you are now in heaven.
Okay, so now changing the subject a little. I'd like to say hi to Ted, Jenny and everyone else who is stopping by to read my notes. :-) I told you I would....hee hee hee!
So Nate is on another boy scout function. He's at their "camp"....over in Idaho. Hope he is having fun! This troop is a very active troop.....when they get back from camp, there are already plans for them to have 4 more campout/hikes for the month of August! Sorry, Nate we wont be doing any of that. Jason and I thought it would be nice to drive out to the ocean one day (maybe next weekend). We are planing a family camping trip on Labor Day weekend though. Going down to camp near Mt. St. Helens. I've never in all my 30 yrs of living in Washington, gone down to see Mt. St. Helens. So, this summer thats what we're doing. Can't wait. Not sure if I'm looking forward to having that much time off (5 day weekend) or actually camping?!? either way it will be a good time.
Well, I've rambled on enough....think I should put up some pictures.....enjoy, thanks for reading and have a blessed day! Hugs, kisses and love.....Becky
Okay, I'm down now. I'll try and write more often, so I don't have to post so much at one time!
God Bless! Becky
